Just a few ramblings...

I realize that most of the recent posts are those of the babies...I don't get many pictures of the girls when they are home from school because it continues to be mass chaos at our house when all four are here! We love it that way though (well, okay if I'm honest, most days!) :)

Gracie is doing well in first grade...loves school, loves her friends. She is becoming quite the little reader, so much so that she is almost getting herself in trouble because she always has a book in her hands these days and than doesn't get done what she needs to get done! I guess there are worst things in life, eh?

Elizabeth has finally adjusted to school it seems and really is becoming quite the little student! She now knows the order of all the letters in her name and can usually write all of them in order...quite the feat for a four year old with such a long name!:) She is learning a lot and it is so fun to hear the things she comes up with...the other day when she went to school the first time after her new haircut, I teasingly asked her if she thought her friends and teachers would recognize her. Her response: "Yes, mom of course they will. I am still wearing the same shoes!" She's always trying to do some "science experiment" which usually involves water and making a mess...gotta love her!

Sophia and Isaac are getting so big and changing so quickly. They will be 8 months on the 23rd...that doesn't seem possible. I know my babies are going to be grown before I know it.

Matt and I leave for Mexico this Sunday morning. THANK YOU in advance to my mother-in-law, my dad and my mom for coming to help with the kids along with all you wonderful friends who have agreed to help where needed! It is so appreciated and I will post some pictures once we return and things settle again!

Just two little ones...

The best three bucks I spent this past week. Sophia has two bottom teeth and I think she is working on more. Isaac just cut his first two teeth (on the bottom as well) and I just noticed today that one of his top ones is also poking through! How fast they grow. No more toothless grins in this house!

Sophia does a mean army crawl and FAST! I have to set them on opposite sides of the room because she just b-lines for Isaac. She figured out that it hurt to bite her own hand now that she has teeth, but realized quickly that Isaac has two of those great tasting baby hands and it doesn't hurt when she bites those! What a stinker! She also loves his reaction. Poor boy! Isaac is not far behind with his scooting. Where he can't get with scooting, he gets by rolling! Just in the past couple of days he has been trying to get up on his knees. It won't be long.

Two Sweet....

What's that white stuff?

Yes, a week ago this past Saturday we woke up to SNOW!!!! Isn't it too early for that?

Locks of Love

About a week and a half ago, I took Elizabeth to go and get her hair cut so she could donate it to Locks of Love. Here is a picture of her new due and she is holding her ponytail. She was very excited, very proud...she had 9 1/2 inches cut off. Erin at Enve Salon in Coralville cut it and she was the only person besides me that she trusted enough to cut her hair...she trusted her because she is "Zander's mom" one of Elizabeth's little friends from school. Thanks Erin!

All bundled...

all bundled up for a walk on the first fall"ish" day

A couple of very happy babies...

Pure joy...

New High Chairs and Baby Food...

Isaac LOVES his high chair and can't wait for the good stuff!

Sophia is not too big into her high chair...this is what she did the first time we put her in it!

Okay, so she got the hang of it after we woke her up!
