Where are we in Kentucky?

Hi everyone, I know it has yet again been AGES since I posted. Things have been a bit crazy in our lives the past few months. We moved into our new house in Kentucky last Monday, the 27th of June. We love the house and the space. I keep thinking that we must be missing something because we have so much space!:) I guess I didn't realize just how packed we were in our house in Iowa....we were so blessed by so many these past few months as we transitioned from Iowa to Kentucky. We were so touched and our hearts are forever changed because of all those who walked into our lives while we were in Iowa. God is good and blessed us with exactly the right people at the right times throughout those seven years. I know that He will continue to do the same here in Kentucky. I know that He has a purpose for us here, even though at the moment, it is difficult for me to see that when all I want to do is go back to where I have my friends, my church, my comfort....but, though this He will grow us in our faith as well...He will continue to call on us to rely on Him. He will not forsake us, this I know full well.

The boxes are unpacked and everyone has their room that they are settled into...it no longer feels like a super long summer vacation....the reality of not really knowing anyone is setting in and so transition goes and continues. Everyone is handling it in very different ways...very different emotions.

Matt started his job last Friday and than had a three day weekend for the Fourth. We went to the parade in our little town (it was only about thirty minutes and I was very surprised when all the water, snacks etc. that I had prepared for the 2 1/2 hours that we were used to with the Coralville parade were not needed...it was the first year that i came to a parade "over prepared"!) :) We saw the fireworks which were amazing....Matt and I have decided that small town fireworks tend to be the best firework shows! Maybe it helps that our town is called "Independence" so that is their day!:)

Matt seems very happy already. He has had two days of orientation and than today is his first day in the OR. If you read this and think about it, please just send up an extra prayer for him. I know his job is extremely stressful and yet he handles it with such poise and is such an incredible physician. I pray for all those families that he comes into contact with and works with...they are all dealing with such difficult situations.

So, I just realized how wordy and sentimental I am getting when all I really meant to post was that we are here, getting settled and finding our way with the help of God....and for all of those that have been asking, I thought I would share our new address. It is:

Provenzano
6474 Ridgelawn Ct.
Indpendence, KY 41051

God be with all of you and hopefully I will get some pictures of the house and us in it up in the next few days. Love, E
