Coloring...a favorite passtime at the Provenzano household

Elizabeth and Grace LOVE to color. I am constantly finding scraps of paper and envelopes filled with their "artwork" to be sent to whomever. Here are a couple of pictures of Elizabeth at her favorite spot lately coloring intently. The box of crayons doesn't seem to leave the coffee table much these days.

30 Weeks!

Here I am at 30 weeks. We never thought we would make it this far. Praise God. It is truly a miracle and we are so humbled by all that have prayed and continue to pray for our family and our babies. Today we received another good report that things had remained stable and that we would go another week. God has been completely in control and our faith has grown and become stronger through this experience. THANK YOU to everyone that prays...the power of prayer is AMAZING!!!

Our littlest dancer!

Elizabeth is loving dance and ballet and learning so much. She really enjoys it and you can see a spring in her step wherever she goes. Here she is showing off some of her recent dance moves.

Disney on Ice!

A few weeks ago, we went to the Quad Cities to see Disney on Ice. It was so much fun and the girls were on the edge of their seats the entire time. This was Matt's "special gift" to the girls for Christmas, a family tradition. Oh and of course, we HAD to take a picture of the man with slushies on his head!





They had a scene with Mickey and friends, Cars, Little Mermaid, Lion King and the girls' very favorite one was Tinkerbell!

New Bunk Beds!

Grandpa and Grandma came down a couple of weekends ago to celebrate Christmas. They brought with them bunk beds! The girls LOVE them. We thought that Grace was going to sleep on top and Elizabeth on the bottom, but of course, the girls had different plans. The first night they both slept on top with Elizabeth saying, "This is going to be the best sleep over ever!" After that, Grace took the bottom and Elizabeth took the top. They have had a lot of fun as they use their beds now as another place to play! Thanks Grandpa and Grandma!

Ice Skating

The only thing that Gracie wanted to do her entire Christmas break was to go ice skating. Now, I am obviously in no condition for such a thing, but Matt took her one day. Elizabeth didn't want to try it and so her and I sat and watched. Grace did a great job and was off and skating in no time on her own!

Christmas Day

Here are some pictures from Christmas Day. Yes, I know EXTREMELY belated. Better late than never. We celebrated Christmas just the four (or six) of us. It was a fun and very relaxing time. The sleeping bags from Santa were a huge hit for the girls. In fact, I think that Elizabeth slept in hers for about two weeks straight after getting it.

A funny little story about the season. Elizabeth LOVES baby Jesus and baby Moses. They are by far her favorite parts to read in the Bible. Well, she continues to hear songs on the radio and asks, "Mom, they are singing about baby Jesus, right?" "Yes, Elizabeth, they are." "Mom, baby Jesus isn't an adult, he is a baby." We had to work on the fact that BABY Jesus didn't die on the cross for us, that Jesus grew into an adult and than died on the cross. Well, now she is still convinced that Jesus is a baby right now. Try rationalizing with a three year the concept that we just are remembering when Jesus was born during this time of year, that He is actually in heaven waiting for us to meet him someday. She is convinced that He is in the stable right now. It didn't help that at church they had a manger scene in their program with a real baby playing the baby Jesus. She was CONVINCED without a doubt that it was him! (even though it was really the baby brother of one of her Sunday school friends.) We had soup supper after the program and she was in absolute AWE because we sat with the family and she proceeded to say, "MOM, look we get to sit by baby Jesus!" Simple minds and simple faith...faith that I guess we all need to have.
